Veronica Howling is a
freelance trainer, facilitator and consultant. She has particular
skills in encouraging and supporting the personal development of others,
and in the last two years has been involved in the development of a
Mentoring course accredited by the Open College Network, on which she was
also the principal trainer.
Veronica has expertise in developing awareness training
and policy development around issues concerning substance misuse, drawing
on a strong background of ten years in this field, eight of these years
working within a multi-disciplinary team. Most of her recent working
life has been spent within the voluntary sector, and as a result, Veronica
has extensive knowledge of Volunteer Management, particularly in respect
of recruitment, interviewing and training.
She enjoys the challenges and rewards of working with
people and enabling them to discover their potential, whatever their age
and abilities. As a result of her work, she has developed a great
interest in the effects of change on the individual, groups and
organisations, and has studied Management of Change for one year at the
University of Surrey.
