The fourth child of a large and garrulous family, Harriet Bisson learned at an early age how to be heard and  listened to! She has considerable experience of performance reading and more recently of public speaking. A believer in the power of 'the story', she uses parables and stories to illustrate her speaking and training.

Harriet has always enjoyed helping people to achieve and, whether children, young people or adults, she derives great pleasure from seeing them reach their goals - whatever they are! She has done a wide variety of informal training, from a successful pre-school music group to providing IT support to staff in a large not-for-profit organisation, and she is now glad to offer her skills as a trainer through SpeakersBank.

Her ability to communicate succinctly and effectively were first developed in Typography and Graphic Communication. Later at the National Museum of Wales her role was to gather 'the story' from museum academics and re-tell it for the designers. During a career break to bring up three children she ran small home-based business and was a volunteer in many community and school activities. By the time she was ready to return to work there had been many changes in communication technology and, having always been a people person, she felt the Voluntary Sector was the obvious place for her.  She now manages the Volunteer Bureau in Harrogate.
